OUR SCHOOL

Christ Centered. Family Oriented. Future Focused.
We help our students work hard to achieve greatness by nurturing and equipping them in a strong Christian and academic environment to become lifelong learners, capable of making responsible decisions, growing in faith and serving God and the community.
OUR MISSION

The mission of St. Martini Lutheran School is to provide a safe, Christian school focused on educational success, leadership development and spiritual growth.

Our Principal, Carly Hertel, a St. Norbert College and Concordia University graduate, specializes in coaching dual language teachers and principals as well as monolingual teachers and principals with ESL students. Our Christ centered education approach and large ESL population, as well as her experience in Elementary Instructional Coach for the School District of Waukesha and behavior/PBIS coach made her a perfect fit at St. Martini.

OUR HISTORY

St. Martini Lutheran School was established in 1883 and serves the Hispanic community on Milwaukee’s near south side. St. Martini Lutheran Church contracted LUMIN in 2009 to operate the school and work together to accelerate the growth of Christian education in St. Martini’s neighborhood.
The church and school recently celebrated their 130th anniversaries. “This speaks volumes about
St. Martini’s rich history of serving its community” according to Dick Laabs, president of LUMIN.
We Love
Because God loves us.
We Change
Because we are always learning!
We Empower

to do their best will make our families,
schools, and communities prosper.
At St. Martini, We are children of God.
